How to add more strategy in Crowfall
Hi Guys ! I was browsing crafting topics and had an idea to increase the number of strategic options... adding "scorched earth tactics" to Crowfall ! (haven't seen it, so sorry if repost).
For Crowfall, SET (Scorched Earth Tactics) shouldn't exactly be like in real life (set everything ablaze), so here is what i think could be implemented :
1) the ability to salvage parts of castles impossible to defend (ballistas, constructions,...). Hence
- we can punish the enemies, who will have to bring in materials to fortificate
- more convoys (and potential raid targets)
- reinjecting materials in an economy with finite ressources
- you can decide how to dispatch your forces in a better way
2) the ability to destroy storages (food, armors, weapons,...) when you lack the logistic to empty them. Hence
- an easy way to burden your opponent
- an opportunity for assassins/saboteurs to sneak in and destroy supplies
3) the ability to render parts of the map unharvestable. You don't burn and destroy (cool, but hard to implement), but you put like a "mist generator" (an object crafted that your team installs in a said zone) and every ressource in the mist can't be harvested for a limited time. Hence
- it is easy to implement, and avoids big losses of resources fire would induce.
- it forces player management of terrain, with patrols to ensure nobody is installing those generators
- it strengthens the importance of POI (quarry, sawmill) that can't be affected by the mist (or it would be to powerful)
- it allows for sneaky saboteurs to annoy the ennemy by installing generators in their lands
There are many ways to strengthen or weaken the effect of those SET.

Split body animations
so why not just speed them up? I've seen people ask for animations with more movement built into them, so why not just alter animations so they all actually move your character in some way instead of root them to the ground?

MEET THE TEMPLAR!
The past few weeks have certainly been busy for us. We have seen the launch of our MMO environment (aptly dubbed Big World) and the release of the Guinecean Duelist archetype. As always, even with all the tweaks and fixes and hard work required to release a major milestone, we always have one eye toward the future⦠and a few team members running forward to make headway on our next release.

Tom Chilton has published a lengthy letter on the World of Warcraft community forum to let players know that he is moving on from his position as Game Director to a new project "just down the hall" at Blizzard. He names Ion Hazzikostas as his replacement and that "WoW will be in great hands with Ion at the helm".
